8老师好，前不久请教过您一个问题，现在有后续问题请教：

我老婆去年持因公护照J1签证来美国进修（国内出钱），今年8月满1年。最近老板提出可以给延长，美方出钱，有几个问题：

1，现在的J1签证在因公护照上，改为美方出钱后准备改用因私护照办理新的J1签证，这种情况是算原来Program的延长（老板、课题都不变）还是新办一个J1签证？

-The visa is still valid. So, she can use both pssports to enter US. But if she has to return the 因公护照 to the government, she hasd to apply for a new visa to enter US. 

2，因为因公护照要求必须按日子回国交护照，所以准备在8月中旬按时回国，争取在离境之前拿到新的2019 表。这样是否需要再次到美国大使馆签证才能回美国？这种情况受“回国服务2年”的限制吗？-Depends on whether she stayes in the same program (i.e has the same SEVIS#). Contact the International Scholar Office in the school. 也就是说，是不是上一个J1 一旦回国，下一次J1是不是也要等2年才能申请或者必须要申请Waiver？-If the program is the same, she does not wait for another two years.

3，因为老板已经准备让9月开始新的工作了，申请Waiver肯定来不及，但是8月又必须回去交因公护照，否则单位也要受牵连。如果受回国服务2年”的限制，那就回不来了。
