More questions for you, since the new passport most likely will arrive prior to the aprroval of the green card applicaiton, but all green card application forms have the old passport number, does that matter? -Not matter. Passport is the proof of your Chinese citizenship, so as long as it is valid when you file I-485, it will be fine. Your new passport also have the same function.
