Thus, if your I-485 is denied, then you must stop working and leave US immediately. Then, ask your company to file an H-1 petition to get it approved, then you can use the H-1 approval to get the H-1B visa to come back. Also, your company may not want to do this procedure for you because they may not be able to wait for you to come back to work.
