请问八老师怎样成功申请返美证？

我有一个朋友，是加拿大籍，持有美国绿卡。因为他常年在加拿大，所以需要办理返美证。现已经递交申请，并且打好指模。他这是第三次办理返美证，这次美国移民局有要求添付材料，就是回答问题。它要求飞机票，最后一次进入美国的护照盖章，工作学习证明在这段期间，本次旅行之前的。

3 letter from your employer that you have reported for work just prior to your reported date of departure;

因为我朋友最近几次都是开车入境的，没有飞机票的证明。也因为开车入境，护照上没有最后一次入境证明，护照上只有2015年的入境章。只有反美证上，有2017年的一次入境章。而他是最少每年去一次美国。

至于工作证明，不知道加拿大的工作证明可否? 是否会有反作用? 因为不在美国生活？下次更新绿卡会有麻烦？

我叫他去调I-94 出入境记录，不知道他调的怎么样。像他这种情况，该怎么处理，才能顺利申请到返美证？而不影响到他的绿卡和日后的绿卡更新？恳求大家的建议和指导。谢谢。
