尊敬的8老师：您好！

我的I-485 Application还在Pending状态，I-765(EAD)和I-131(AP)还没批下来。再过半年我的H1B就6年到期了，我正在联系律师去申请H1B续签。我的律师告诉我，EAD和AP也要一起Renew，给我寄来的I-765表格上选了1.c. Renewal of my permission to accept employment. (Attach a copy of your previous employment authorization document.) 这真把我搞糊涂了，真的需要renew EAD and AP吗？我的EAD/AP还没批下来，怎么就可以renew呢？

请问老师，我的律师说的对还是错？为什么续签H1B要我申请renew EAD/AP?

-It seems your lawyer was confused or probbaly the lawyer just wants more money. You need to wait for the EAD/AP approval, not file a new EAD/AP application now. Also, H-1 extension is irrelevant to the AP/EAD application.  Just remind the lawyer that your EAD and AP applications are still pending.
