-Probably the child is age-out. Calculate the child's CSPA age using this formula:
CSPA age = the child's actual age when the priority date is current - the I-130 pending days
Note: the I-130 pending days = the I-130 approval date - I-130 receipt date. You can find the approval date and receipt date from the I-130 Approval Notice.
If the Child's CSPA age is > 21, then the child is age-out, and thus he/she cannot get the green card together with the mother as the mother's derivative. Thus, the mother has to file an I-130 to sponsor the child's green card after the mother gets her green card. This process may take 7 to 8 years for the child to get the green card and the child cannot get married during this period of time unless the mother becomes a US citizen first before the child gets married.
