As 法居士 said, mostly it depdends on your luck and how you will
describe yourself. It's very similar to applying universlities.
My major is also computer science and my I-140 got approved in 2003. Since my company did not sponsor my GC application, I had to apply it
myself. I spent a lot of time to prepare the documents. It is
really time consuming. If the company sponsor it for you,maybe
don't need to bother.
