UPON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551 EVIDENCING PERMANENT RESIDENCE FOR 1 YEAR
-It means when you use this visa to enter US, the IO at the port of entry will put a stamp on it. Then, this stamped visa can be used as your permanent resident proof (same function as the plastic green card) for one year. Of course, after you receive the plastic green card, you don't need this stamped visa anymore.
