cost fee besides attorney fee?

For those who had the experience of applying green card through lawyer, do you have to pay the cost fee such as phone and express mail post fees besides the attorney fee? Your share of experience is highly appreciated. Also, it says at the uscis website that the I140 can be e-filed while my attorney insisted that the regular mail is better than e-file. Is he right? Thank you in advance for your advices.
