-That will be fine. Because she is a Canadian citizen, she actually does not need to get the H-4 visa in the US Consulate, and just enter US using your H-1 approval notice, your employment verification letter from your employer, her birth certificate and Canadian passport, thus she will get the H-4 status (I-94). 

另外，因为一月初去了一趟加拿大，停留一周，这样是不是3个月内她就不可以以F1的身份file 485 呢？-No because she has been F-1 for a longer time. But H-2 status is better.
