8老师您好！我在美国境内申请父母绿卡。他们拿到绿卡一个月后就回国了。
爸爸想照顾老人暂时不想回美国，可能近三年都不准备回美国了，离不开也没可能回来办理回美纸。
请教一下，他三年不回来是不是等同绿卡作废？

因为几年后，老人万一不在了，我妈妈有绿卡，她还是想把我爸爸申请过来的。
