8老师，2012年我妈妈拿到婚姻绿卡，那年我17岁，跟我妈妈拿到了绿卡。
现在我在申公民，看到一个说法是：18岁前拿到绿卡，并且父母中有一人是美国公民，其自然成为美国公民。
看着我的情况正好符合，我继父是美国公民，我是在18岁前拿到绿卡的。
但是移民局就给了我绿卡，没说我有公民身份的？
-No, you are not a US citizen yet, You are not qualified for automatic US citizenship just as a step-child of a US citizen (the law you cited about does not apply to you). Only one case for automatic citizenship for green card step-children of U.S. Citizens is that the step-parent adopts the step-child before the step-child turns 16 years old and the child resided with the United States citizen adoptive step-parent for at least two years,  then the child qualifies for derivative or automatic citizenship.

Obviously, you are not in this case. So, you need to file N-400 to apply for the US citizenship
