我的绿卡 今年九月12日到期， 我去年10月份递的 N-400公民申请， 目前只打了 指纹， 公民申请再没有进展， 我现在应该 renew我的绿卡吗？还是等待公民申请 ， 是不是过了 9月12 日， 如果不renew绿卡， 我的身份就不合法了， 不能 工作了。
-If you do not ravel outside US, or you do not need to change your employer/job, you do not need to renew your green card. Your green card expiration does not affect your permanent resident status. Just like your Chinese passport expires, and it will not affect your Chinese citizenship.
