请教8老师,绿卡过期

我绿卡今年6月过期, 我已经在境外呆了7年,从没回过美,. 请问我如果再次入境是否必须放弃绿卡? 我能否用澳洲护照入境(六月份有个会议需参加.)? 谢谢!
