我现在是H-1B， 我刚回国，昨天回美，现在查了一下我的most recent I-94 上的 Admit Until Date : 12/08/2017.
但是我H-1B 上的valid from 12/08/2015 to 09/30/2018.
而且现在的I-94 上的number 跟原来H1-B上I-94 的 number 不一样。-It is normal because this is the new I-94. The old I-94 was invalid when you left US.
我的问题是：
1. 我的护照到05/2018到期，是不是因为这样才缩短到护照到期前半年？
-Probably yes.
2. 我的H1B是不是按新的I-94的日期为准？
-Yes.
但是那样的话我是不是在Admit Until Date（12/08/2017） 前半年就要申请延期？
-Your employer needs to file the H-1 extension application before 12/08/2017, and can file it in advance up to 6 months.
3. 我是不是可以跟CBP申请更改到09/30/2018(H-1B上的日期）？
-You can go to the local CBP Deferred Inspections Office to see whether they can fix it for you. Find the CBP Office in your area at:
还是要等护照RENEW 后再跟CBP申请更改？
-If CBP office does not fix it for you, your employer has to file extension (see above).
4.要不要向EMPLOYER汇报新的I-94有效期？
-Yes.
