请教8老师一个问题，申请 I 485的instruction里有一条，一部分人可以不用在美国维持非移民身份， 申请485调整身份。其中有一条是外国医学毕业生。请问这一条有什么特别的其他要求吗，

比如必须在美国医院工作，或者考到行医执照什么的，还是没有什么具体的要求，只要是医学毕业生就可以呢？ 因为我是医学毕业生，不过没有能够保持非移民身份到交485，
-The principle is that you have to have a non-immigrant status such as H-1, F-1 when you file I-485. The exception is: the immediate relatives of a US citizen (i.e. spouse, minor unmarried child, parents) do not have to have a legal status to file I-485; employment-based applicant (i.e. I-485 filed based on I-140) can file I-485 if his/her violation of status is < 180 days.
请问我可以通过consular processing拿绿卡吗？
-Yes, but if your unlawful presence is > 180 days or > one year, you will be subjected to 3- or 10- year bar if you leave US, and that means you can not get the immigrant visa within 3 years or 10 years in this case.
