An EAD allow you to change job, if you us AP to come back, and you are still working in the same company, you dont need EAD. Your stats is I-485 pending, and not H1B.

Appearantly, I-485 pending allows you to continue your current job. If you donot have a job or want to change a job, you have to use EAD.
