因为个人原因 我准备将美国国籍转换回中国国籍
美国中领馆告知 他们收到我的中国入籍申请后 通过
国内公安机关核实我旧有的中国护照和中国户籍情况后
会通知我去办放弃美国国籍 中领馆在收到我的退籍证明后
发给我新的中国护照。
我的问题是放弃美国国籍的程序是否可以在美国境内完成？
-No. It has to be done in the US Consulate outside US. See:
如果一定要在第三国完成 比如我到加拿大或墨西哥美国领事馆
完成放弃美国国籍程序 是否还可以持原有的美国护照进入美国
并在美国接收最后的放弃美国国籍证明书？
-You can not use the US passport any more and actually, your US passport will be taken away after you take the oath on Renunciation of U.S. Nationality. The proof of renunciation will be issued to you immediately at that time. After you give up the US citizenship, you can visit US like any other Chinese citizens to apply for a non-immigration visa. Also, you can apply for green card again if you meet the requirement, but you will never be a US citizen anymore.
