Why LC? You have a job now? Then why your H1b was denied?
Are you really going to apply US green card or just want to get some time staying in US as you metioned above?

If you just want some time, file I-140 based on NIW, no employee needed, just fill some forms, get some letters and pay application fee. That's all.
