８老师:

父亲在美国办绿卡，之前请教过８老师，７９岁以上不用交按指纹费.  父亲７９岁半, 所以没交指纹费. I-485 的收据，也没要求补交.

但是收到 I-485收据 的同时，也收到了 要求按指纹的 APPOINTMENT LETTER.

请问这是怎么回事?

-Every applicant needs to conduct the biometrics collection. But for your father, the biometrics (e.g. photo, fingerprints, signature) are for the green card production only, not for background check.

请教该如处理?

-Go to do it.
