父母持绿卡, 去年9月中旬回中国(没办回美证), 本来打算今年9月初回美国, 可是由于一件不得不处理的事情, 要拖 到9月底回美国,

请问: 离开美国一年零两个星期, 海关可以宽容放他们进来吗?
-Hard to say. They may be allowed to enter US, but they may need to go to the immigration court to defend their permanent resident status. They may bring the evidences which prevent them to return to US in time, and explain to the IO at the port of entry, and this evidence will be useful if they have to go to the immigration court.
