Effective September 1, 2004, USCIS only accepts new full frontal passport photos for any immigraiton applications. The old one which faces to the right side is no longer accepted. However, they didn't change the photo specifications in the I-485 approval notice. Please take passport photos, see below link for USCIS photograph specifications:
