Dear Customs Officer,

My father Mr. xxx and mother Mrs. xxx are returning to US with valid Advance Parole Document. They don’t speak
English and I am writing this letter to explain their status.

Both of them have received their permanent resident cards while they visited China. The cards are currently located in
their residence in US. I have attached a copy of the cards for your information. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions: xxx-xxx-xxxx.
