Landing visa extention(canada)

Just received the landing visa from Buffalo, but ask us to landing before 1/31/05. The letter did say the date cannot be extended, does anyone know if it's possible to extend anyway? My H1 renewal is still pending with receipt date 9/1/04 even though I do have expired H1 stamp on the passport.
