父母绿卡申请最后阶段，3月份拿着ap回国了。上星期我接到要他们面试的通知，但他们现在身体原因没法立刻赶回来。
今天给移民局打电话想延期面试，移民局说必须一有他们在场才能一起重新预约（电话里我没有说他们已经回国了）。

请问8老师：
下次打电话我该直接告诉移民局我父母已经回国了，然后要求给予延期吗？
-You had better go to the local USCIS Office to try it (this is better way because your parents is not in US) or your parents write a letter to request the reschedule. Request by phone is not acceptable. The appointment notice should have a provision on how to request rescheduling of the interview. So, read the appointment notice and follow the instructions on the notice.

 一般申请延期多久可以避免某些申请材料过期而被要求重新准备？
-I don't know. It is case by case.

实在不行能要求转到广州面试吗？
-If you do that, you need to file I-824 to request it which will take a long time and waste a lot of money.
