Can anyone help me with the my concerns:

Context:

1. My I-485 pending is 6+ months.

2. I am consultant and employer is a staffing firm, My contract is terminated after 2 years with the client, therefore my employment is terminated.
3. The attorney firm is hired by my employer -- the staffing firm. The attorney said I was withdrawing the presentation for me because I am no longer working with the staffing firm.
4. I am currently looking for new assignment or work.

I am wondering whether the withdrawal by attorney to USCIS has any negative impact to my case. Say, USCIS reject the petition because I am currently unemployed?
-It does not matter (will affect nothing on your I-485) as long as you have a new job in the same/similar field as the old job.

I appreciate input from all of you.
