关于H1激活问题，公司回信了。

The previous H1B was for a different position and location and cannot be activated until an amendment is filed. I would need branch approval for costs and preparation of new documents.

Position应该是一样的，Location是变动了。有两点请教8老师：

1， 是先激活之后公司再FILE AMENDMENT呢？还是如上所说，等公司FILE AMENDMENT之后才能去ACTIVATE以前的H1？哪个在先？
-Had better file the amendment first, the activate it later, in case the CBP officer is strict and thus, not allow you to activate it at the port of entry though normally some officer may approve it.

      从哪里可以找到官方规定？

2，您知道这个COST是多少吗？
-Only need to pay the I-129 filing fee and the company will pay for it.
