一方及子女公民在美工作,一方持绿卡海归4年.现绿卡到期.有放弃绿卡之念,海归方还要8年才能退休,绿卡难以维持及更新.想等退休后再办绿卡归海及转公民. 是否需要做paper work,通知移民局放弃绿卡,还是只要不更换绿卡就算自动放弃绿卡. 放弃绿卡,对以后改审请签证有无大的影响?再申请绿卡有无大的影响? 叩谢.
