我的H-1B的工作去年12月底结束了（paystub也停了），我在结束前递上了H1B转H4的COS申请。现在找到了一个新工作，公司的律师说因为我的COS在PENDING，移民局规定，必须等到转成H4后才能递交H1B的新申请。他说有一个例外，就是现在可以申请H1
petition for visa processing，等到批了后，需要我自己出国去申请新的H1B（我理解是出国去申请调整身份回H1B），
这样做的话，是不是可以自动取消前一个ＣＯＳ的申请？
-Yes, if you leave US during the H-4 pending, the H_4 application will be void automatically. You may just ask the employer/lawyer to file H-1 petition for you (provide the H-4 receipt as "bridge"). If the H-1 approval has I-94, you just work. If it has no I-94, you just go to China to get the H-1 visa to come back. Of course, if the H-4 is approved after the H-1 approval, then you need to go to China to get the H-1 visa to come back.

现在，ｖｅｒｍｏｎｔ　ｃｅｎｔｅｒ处理ＣＯＳ才处理到去年８月份，所以等处理Ｈ４的方法不现实。
