Reentry from Canada or Mexico

Hi all,

I am on H1B and my wife on H4. My daughter was born in the US. I plan to go back to China during Chinese new year. Do you think if I go to Canada or Mexico in the name of vacation, will it give me better chance to getting reentry visa to the US than going to China directly? Would it be easier to get reentry visa to the US in those two countries than do that in China? Thanks.
