B2 签证失效,(<3年) 再签需要面签,吗

公婆, 2012年6月来过美国, 大约住了小一年.中间得到B2续签认可.  现在我邀请他们过来, 需要面签还是到中信交材料? 
另外如果交材料, 是越详细约好还是就交要求的就可?
