父母一方已入籍，孩子15岁，参考各位的回帖是说孩子已是公民身份，可以办美国护照，如果想改名字，怎么办呢？

-Because your child has been a US citizen automatically, he/she can not change his/her name by filing N-600. The only way your child can change his/her name is to file name change application in court. So, just go to the court to do it and it is simple. After he/she change his/her name, then he/she can apply for the US passport with the new name.

Your child does not have to file the N-600 to get the US citizenship certificate, but apply for a US passport instead, save your the N-600 filing fee. US passport is also the proof of US citizenship.
