Do you still have their I-485 receipt or I-485 approval notice? You can find their A# on the I-485 receipt or approval notice. If you don't have any, they may just go to the local USCIS Office to find their A# there. With official photo identification (e.g. passport, ID), and using their birthdate and name an information officer will be able to look up their A number.
