各位大侠，现有急事相求：
朋友的儿子在美国学语言，但出勤太低，学校取消了他的I20.
不巧的是他护照被偷了，新护照申请两个星期前交给使馆，要2-3个月才能出来，他现在即使想回国也没护照。
1. 如果他找到另一所学校，拿到新的I-20, 可以恢复学生身份吗？

2. 如果他等到拿到护照回国，有2个月out of status, 以后入境美国会有麻烦吗？
-No problem.
3. 他可以申请旅行证回国吗？
-Should be fine, but contact the Chinese Consulate to see whether the Consulate can process his passport using 加急 processing.
