Thanks for your help! But I just hope to discuss with you further if you do not mind, because the information I got is different from yours. As far as I know, people with more than one J1's entrances (even staying at different universities) to US can get J1 waiver by one waiver application, so it seems that case number is not only for ones current J1 project. And,after a J1 leaves US, he/she can re-enter US as J1 in some time (usually one year), but have to wait 2 years for entry as H1. When I had my J1 status extended for last 6 months in this April, even our international office did not know J1 could stay up to 5 years, maybe the Act has been passed after that? Any formal information available (website)? I’m really interested in it. Thank you!
