今年4月父母在美国探亲，我给他们办了移民申请，交了485，130。
后来6月份母亲骨折了，打完指纹就回中国了，现在还没有痊愈。
走后收到补交材料的通知，因为我去年收入不够加州的3口贫困县。我把房产证交了。
然后9月收到了AP. 一年有效。
今天收到了面试通知，要求11月去面试。
请问我想给他们延期面谈，怎么办？是打电话还是写信？还是不要延期比较好？
-You can write a letter to the local office, but I suggest you to visit the local USCIS Office, where the interview will take place, to request the interview reschedule, to make sure the office receive your request. No calling for the request.

 如果可能的话，最长能延期多久？
