请教863211老师或坛里的热心人，有关为绿卡父母办回美证的问题：

1） 父母 （> 80岁）去年底移民来美国，年初拿到绿卡。现在准备回国一段时间（可能会超过1年），需要申请回美证（I-131）吗？
-Yes. Need to get reentry permit (RP).

2） 如果要申请回美证，要多久会批下来？
-About 3 months, normally.

3） 查I-131的Filling fee，说是no fee with Biometric Services for > 80 yrs old. 这是不是说80岁以上的老人，不需按指纹？
-No fee, but need to do the biometrics collection for production the reentry permit document.

4） 我现在为父母 （> 80岁）申请回美证，他们可以不可以在11月前后用绿卡回中国，然后等回美证批准后再给他们邮寄回中国？还是一定要拿到回美证后才能回国（假如回国可能会超过1年）？
-They had better do the biometrics collection (i.e. fingerprinting, taking picture) in US, then can leave US. Then, you can mail the RP to them after the RP is approved.
