A friend is currently under H1B status and is planning to go back to China
His wife is on H4 and does not work
their child is a US citizen.

Is there any type of visa his wife can apply, so she can legally stay in US to company the child,
as the child is in elementary school
-No special one available. The mother may get F-1 status to study and stay in US for a long time, or B-2 status to stay for a short time; or find a job for H-1 status.
