现在我妻子能不能自动从TN签证转成EAD.多谢。另外，
听说，申请了485,不能出国，否则，485自动失效。我们是5月31申请的485，当时担心8月份拿不到485，于是6月1日，我妻子去美加边境延长了TN。这样有什么问题吗？再次感谢
-Technically, your wife's I-485 probably has been invalid because she left US without AP and got the TN I-94 to reenter US. So, her I-485s probably will be denied.  The only hope is that USCIS received her I-485 after the day your wife got the TN renewed at the port of entry on 1/6/2014. If so, her I-485 probably will still be valid. It seems her I-485 was  not in the USCIS system on 1/6/2014 yet, otherwise the CBP officer would have not issued her TN I-94 on that day. So, it is still hopeful.

My suggestion is that she had better use TN to work (don't use the EAD) and if her I-485 is denied, she can file the I-485 again with her TN status/I-94. She had better not leave US before USCIS make a decision on her I-485.
