我的绿卡到今年八月就到期了（十年有效期）。我一定要先延期绿卡再申请公民吗？
-Not necessary.

如果我现在申请公民但是在公民批准之前绿卡过期会有什么问题？
-No problem, but you can not travel outside US during this period of time. Also, if you change your job or find a new job, your employer may ask you to show green card, but you don't have and this may be a problem. Of course, if you don't change job, that will be fine.
