Did you show the AP to the CBP officer to enter US? If so, your child status is Parolee, not H-4 and then, no visa number. Check the stamp to see whether it is "Parolee".

My answer: Yes, I showed the AP to the CBP when we entered the US. It is a small office seems the officers didn't know how to handle my case. They spent a lot of time to study my document. In the end they stamped H1 on my passport and H4 on my kid's. Can you tell me if I can visit my local immigration office for the correction?

-Not the control number. The visa# is the number in red color on the visa.
My reply: Yes, I found the visa #, but it was before I got AP. Guess it is not useful?
