父母的绿卡

给父母办了绿卡, 差不多两年了.  现在发现这卡挺鸡肋的了. 来这里吧, 他们自己挺无聊的, 在国内他们有许多老年活动, 很热闹. 来这里没事做. 不来久了怕卡作废又觉得有点可惜. 而且来这里长住我们就6 个人住一栋房子,  大家生活习惯, 作息时间都不同, 矛盾也重重. 给他们分出去住, 财政上压力太大, 他们就更无聊了.   真是两难.  

请问现在还是必须一年内回来?  上次走前没有办reentry permit.   有没有隔两三年回来也没事的?   另外听说可以把绿卡换成10年有效签证,  请问是真的吗?  是的话, 怎么办? 申请什么表?  多谢!
