8老师，我父亲是国内某著名报刊（全国发行）的主编，担任这一职位逾30年。并且是报刊协会成员（具体哪个不知），也曾有报刊杂志报道过他。 也曾经担当过评委，评判别人的文章，书稿。 总之，我查看了一下10个条件，他基本能满足3个以上乃至4个。也能找到报刊领域内牛人给他写证明信。他自己正教授头衔。不知道这样的条件他能否申请eb1a。另外，他大概59岁现在，也没有退休，按规定明年退休。
-Although there is age limitation for EB1, your father not only needs to prove his extraordinary ability, but also needs to address how he can be employed in US to make a contribution to US nation or find a job in US before/when he applies for the immigration visa. So, this is may be a little difficult.
