Teacher 8, Please help

Teacher 8, I am citizen and applying greencard for my Mom. I got the receipt for I-485 and found out that the birth date on the receipt was incorrect and realized that the I-485 I submitted had the incorrect birth date too. I already called USCIS and they instructed me to write a letter to request the birth date to be corrected, which I already did. I wonder if that would delay the application process.
