Generally, it is fine. But, it has one problem that is if you can ask your Chinese institute provide a transcript with only master degree stated. If you can not, the problem becomes a real problem. I believe you will be required an interview and background check. If you can, the problem is not a problem at all. Never lies.

By the way, which Chinese univ. did you go for your doctorate? If there are Beijing, Qinghua and several other univ, the siutation is harder because they have designated person to deal with education service in terms of studying abroad and immigration. Go to the website of Chinese Board of Education. They had a contact list for those people. If it is not there any more, go to the university website to find out.
