parents visit Canada for a week need visa?

please help! I Will take my parents to visit Canada about a week after Alaska Cruise. Do they need visa to Canada? I remember if within 30 days, ttourist with USA visa doesn't need visa to Canada. is that true? besides, we are green card holder. do we need Canada visa? our cruise will stop by a canada port. do we need Canada visa for that port? thank you for your help.
