N400 - Communist Party

我在到美国以前是中国共产党党员。 出国好长时间了， 这期间没有过任何党的活动。 估计早已经被退党了。

现在在申请加入美国国籍。 N400表有一项：

Have you ever been a member of Communist Party?

应该填yes or no?
