我是公民，准备给父母办绿卡，父母现在国内。看了论坛里的帖子，材料清单里不少都列了父母的出生证或出生公证，可我读了I-130 instructions,没发现这个要求，in the instructions,

item 6: for mother, only need my birth certificate

item 7: for father, need my birth certificate and their marriage certificate

-Your parents' birth certificates are not required for your I-30 filing, but it is needed for their immigration visa pplicaitons later (NVC will ask for these documents later).

我有如下问题：

1。我没有出生证，以前（2005年）办过出生公证，上面写了父亲和母亲的名字。这是不是就够了？

-出生证 or 出生公证 includes: your name, your parents' names, your birthdate and place of your birth.

2。父母的结婚证已遗失（年代太久远了），如果非得要，办个公证可以吗？

-出生公证 is fine.

3。父母的出生公证需要吗？没有看到这条要求。

4。走广州领馆申请移民签证的路线，从我递I-130开始，大概要多长时间？没有排期的问题，6个月够吗？

-Normally one year to two years, case by case. After your I-130 is approved, USCIS will forward your case to National Visa Center (NVC) for processing, then NVC will contact you and give you instructions. Then, just follow NVC instrucitons to provide what they require.

5。看起来从广州申请，申请费要少很多，(移民签证费和I-485 filing费相比），不知理解的对吗？
