If the professor sign the application form for a DS-2019 and you bring this application to the International office, usually 2-3 days.

Actually, after I brought the form to the international office of my University, the officer called me after two hours and I got the DS-2019 form.

It is very easy, the officer just open the SEVIS system and input your information and the print the form for you.
