-Your child will get his/her green card (immigration status) at the port of entry when he/she enters US with his/her mother first time before 2 years old. Bring the kid's passport, 2 immigration photos (US passpsort photos), birth certificate, and the parent's green card, parents' marriage certificate, bank account statement, tax return, etc. prove their tie to US. Then, the kid will get the permanent resident status (green card stamp) at the port of entry and USCIS will send the green card to the kid about one month later.
Your child does Not need any visa to enter US, but just need a transportation letter from any one of the US Consulates in China stating that the child can travel to US with the LPR mother on his/her first visit before two years old. This letter makes the airlines to allow the baby to board the airplane without a visa.
To get the transportation letter, your wife needs to provide her green card, her passport, your child passport, your child two photos and child's certificate, your marriage certificate to the US Consulates in China.
